FEBRUARY 2017 Lamb On the Hoof, On the Hook and On the Plate. In a fun-filled, hard-fought lamb competition, the producer of the Wairarapa’s best lamb will be found. Every lamb entered will be judged on the hoof, on the hook and on the plate. This competition is open to all Wairarapa farmers who have a clear focus on providing a quality product for the consumer and connecting every step, from the gate to the plate.
MASTERTON A&P SHOW, 18TH FEBRUARY 2017 Enjoy a full lamb based culinary programme featuring local chefs, cooking competitions, culinary demonstrations and the judging of the ‘On the Plate’ lamb competition throughout the day in the Gate to Plate Culinary Marquee. Further indulge in our Food Village offering locally produced wine, craft beer, cheeses, olive oils, coffee, pizza and more!
FEBRUARY 2017 Local Wairarapa restaurants will be wowing their customers with a specially crafted Wairarapa lamb dish using the finest local ingredients. Each lamb dish will be judged by a panel of foodie judges to discover the Wairarapa’s Best Lamb Dish. Dine and vote in the ‘People’s Choice’ competition and have the chance to win a Weber BBQ and accessories valued at over $700.
